Over the last few weeks I have been testing out the NEW Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Range. Its Maybelline's first vitamin enriched long wear foundation and concealer with skin improving Actyl-C formula.
So what is Actyl-C? The same question did cross my mind! It's actually a vitamin derivative which leaves skin feeling energized, fresh, healthy and radiant. It also promotes skin regeneration, so much so that the word is that in just three weeks of using Maybelline's SuperStay Better Skin range you will see smoother skin and more even skin tone!
The foundation is lightweight and comfortable, while giving full all day flawless coverage. The SPF14 is another bonus feature of this foundation. For a long time I've used BB cream, but I loved the coverage of this foundation combined with the concealer and a powder, plus it still looked great at the end of the day. The concealer reduces those dark under eye circles beautifully- a must when I've spent the night up with bub. The numbering of the shades across the SuperStay range is consistent, which makes it really easy to get a great match between concealer, foundation and powder.
I particularly love that this range goes above and beyond your regular makeup, actually improving your skin!! Great for those of us for whom multitasking is a must.

ReplyDeleteI like the sound of lightweight. For as long as I remember, foundations are always heavy and cakey but this is not and that is appealing!!

I love BB cream, but find it runs, especially in the heat. I would love something that is great for my skin. But would stay all day, no matter the season!

I'm intrigued with Actyl-C now. I'm getting older and my skin just ain't quite like it used to be so anything that is going to help improve dryness (becoming more and more of a problem lately) and give that bright, fresh look is something I need to try!

I'm not huge on make up but like to look bright,
With a good base coat it instantly feels right.

Your review has me very excited to try Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation! I generally tend to find foundations heavy and the colour just not quite right, but this sounds like something different! It appeals to me because I wish my current mineral powder had more coverage. This seems to tick all the boxes of what is important to me in face beauty - nourishing, SPF, colour choice, and light weight! Can't wait to get my hands on some!
