Striking gold

In Sydney for work last week and these self take pics are on my motel balcony.
Hmmm look a little sleepy- forgot to put mascara on. Oops ; )
Cue jacket (simliar here)
Zara shirt  (similiar here)
Zara shoes (similiar here)

This is my new shimmering gold skirt from Modcloth- fun and flirty this skirt may have just hit the chic jackpot : ) With a taste of Spring in the air it seemed like the perfect time to wear it, AND it has pockets, I love a skirt with pockets!!

Now I know these Zara heels have been absolutely hammered in the blogesphere and some of you may not be a fan of them, but I must say for us Aussies they (and Zara in general) are pretty darn exciting, and I haven't laid eyes on a single person in Melbourne wearing these hot heels : )

Last day of WINTER (or SUMMER for my Northern Hemisphere readers)!
Are you ready?

August REWIND

August is the last month of our Aussie Winter and I'm so excitied that SPRING is now on its way.  There are green shoots on my wisteria and signs of life on the blossom trees- hooray!

August has been a pretty grey month in Melbourne according to my pics, but I still managed to get the legs on show on a a few occassions.  My two pairs of Steve Madden heels seem to have been my GO TO for this month too : )

Which is your favourite outfit?

Girls night out

I just had to cross into that ray of sunshine : )
Photos today are by me, a tripod, camera on timer and a lot of running back and forth! #Exhausting
Steve Madden heels, Forever New clutch

All set for a night out with the girls last Saturday, and a great night out it was!  Dinner, a show and catch ups over a glass (or three) of wine.

This is the second dress I received from the lovely folk at Button N Thread online boutique.
This dress is pretty short I admit, but the modest neckline and gorgeous puffy sleeves make this dress stylish and sophisticated.  What do you think?

Don't forget these guys have FREE shipping in Australia.

New in

So exciting to have Zara in Melbourne now, and I found a moment when it wasn't crazy busy and snapped up these divine black heels.

These round Sportsgirl sunnies are a fun mix up from my usual wayfarers or aviators.

Revlon yellow nail polish- love it!

This white floaty white singlet from Romwe was exactly what was missing from my wardrobe.  I love its relaxed fit- perfect for layering.  And definitely a wardrobe staple for Summer!

Dynemite!

Check out these beauties... just down on my feet there- fantastic hey!
You may have guessed I have an extreme love of high heels so as you can well imagine I was beyond excited when these lovely SKY HIGH sandals arrived on my door step last week courtesy of the lovely folk at Steve Madden Australia (thank you!!!) and within 30 seconds flat they were on my feet for a parade (and perhaps a gig) around the lounge room.
These are part of the new Spring 2011 range fresh in store NOW!  This beautiful taupe colour is the perfect leg lengthening shade and I'm a whole 5.5 inches taller- hooray : )
Be sure to check out the rest of the range- plenty of platforms, fabulous colours and leopard print.  I have my eyes on this cute little wedge- HERE.
Despite a cold Melbourne day I couldn't resist wearing them with a short skirt to show off their full leg lengthening potential.  And I must add I wore them allllll weekend and found them so comfy and supportive.

French Connection dress, Zara and DeFry shirts, Asos bangle

A French lesson (& Giveaway Winner!)

A nice little package arrived on my doorstep from the lovely folk at Modcloth this week.  So exciting! I got this little purse, which is probably supposed to be a make up bag but I thought it might be fun to use it as a clutch- how adorable is it!
And TWO French lessons no less!!

Also included was this lovely sleeveless shirt.  I love the detail of the sailboat print and the petite accordian pleats.  It's so sheer and breezy I can't wait to wear this one more when the weather warms up.
We were visiting friends who live on the outskirts of Melbourne when we found this random duck pond for my pics.  And yes, my fellow Melbournians, I am wearing open toe shoes in Winter, but I can assure you I was not outdoors for long-vrrrrrr

Sportsgirl pants, Defry denim shirt, Cue jacket , Tony Bianco heels, vintage ring.

AND, the winner of my GIVEAWAY is....
 Maria from Avenue M
Congratulations Maria- I'll be in touch!
