Sunnies.com.au

Yes, I've gone selfie crazy (and have realised I tilt my head the same way every time :/), but I really just wanted to show off these fabulous sunglasses by Sunnies.com.au, Australia's favourite sunglasses store.  Sunnies.com.au have a heap of on trend and classic styles all around the $15- $25 price point!!!! Here I am wearing my two most favourite classic styles- the aviator and wayfarer.  Also on my wish list is the blue silver aviators and the wayfarer 60's gold sunnies. The quality is great, and I certainly would never have guessed how low the price of these actually is.

We all need to protect our eyes from UV rays year round, and in light of this, Sunnies.com.au have launched a campaign 'Keep the Shades as Summer Fades'.  All their sunnies are 100% UV protected and meet the Australian Standard for eye protection, proving that cost does not have to be a defining factor in safety.

Long sleeve stripe dress- thanks to St Frock
Dreamwear cotton slip- thanks to Nancy Ganz
Leather jacket- Sportsgirl (old, similar here)
Heels- Witchery (similar here)

An easy to wear stripey dress today which I've paired with these pointed snakeskin print heels. I am wearing Nancy Ganz shapewear underneath which makes me feel so much more confident in such a fitted dress, especially post pregnancy.  As the weather drops it's so easy to add a leather jacket, blazer, coat or even a chunky knit to warm up this look.

Live North

Shirt- Country Road (similar here)
Pants- Sportsgirl (similar here, and here)
Sunnies- Sunnies.com.au
Shoes- Steve Madden (similar here)
Silver heart earrings- Dorothy & Evelyn

These last couple of weeks I've been on assignment with Live North to shop the inner Northern suburbs in Melbourne.  When I first moved to Melbourne in 2007, I quickly began exploring all the different regions but as you do, we eventually settled into our favourite spots and local hangs; so this has been a great excuse to visit a few areas that I haven't for a while, or never!  I think when looking for a place to live, you want to love the local street and there really are some fantastic strips in the inner North.  So many great cafes, restaurants and bars, galleries and of course amazing fashion and shopping!

Lets start with Brunswick St, Fitzroy.  What a great street!  Somewhere I regularly visit myself, as well as often bring friends or family from out of town.  It's alternative and interesting with great people watching, there a heaps of great cafes and fun shops to poke around.  Fashion wise there are some great second hand clothes stores such as Shag, as well as boutiques; you'll also find Life With Bird and Gorman here.  The graffiti in this suburb is awesome to, I love to meander the streets here. Gertrude St, Fitzroy is another fabulous street to mosey along, more great cafes and quirky stores.

Next to Lygon St, Carlton or 'Little Italy'.  I'd really only been to this street to eat of an evening but it really is a great shopping street.  There's a lot of my favourites, Country Road, Seed, Witchery, Mimco, Trenery, and Sportsgirl.  I found the service fantastic plus the coffee on this strip is fantastic.  This is where I found my outfit that I'm wearing above.

Off to Smith St, Collingwood, this is much grungier compared to Bruswick St and Lygon St.  Even the cafes are a little quirkier here I think. There are heaps of op shops and second hand clothing stores, so for those of you who love vintage, and have a knack for finding treasures this is the street for you.

High St, Northcote is an area I haven't been to before.  There is an awesome toy and childrenswear shop named Big Dreams where I bought a pure wool beanie for my son Ash.  Again, there are more second hand and op shops on this strip as well as small boutiques, and alternative medicine places.  I found the earrings I'm wearing above on this strip at a little shop called Dorthy & Evelyn.

Clifton Hill has a very pleasant main street.  The cafes here are overflowing for breakfast/lunch, there is a great fruit shops and a few interesting stores to poke around which have original and unique jewellery, as well as homewares.

Now to the best bit, Live North are giving you the chance to...
WIN the Ultimate Northside Experience, valued at over $4000!!

Boho Bird

Jeans- Saba (similar here)
Top- Zara (similar here)
Sandals- thanks to Misano Shoes
Boho Bird tunic/jacket- thanks to Birdsnest
Sunnies- Rayban (similar here)

If you love Nina Proudman's style from Australian drama Offspring (who doesn't!) I think Birdsnest's recently launched label, Boho Bird is for you.  It's a range that embraces that whimsical bohemian look so beautifully.  Think tops and dresses with smoldering touches of embroidery and lace, cosy knits in flattering shapes, long romantic skirts, and the most romantic dresses all in muted feminine colours.

Here I am wearing the Boho Bird tunic/jacket.  I love this colour and the lace detailing makes it such a unique piece; also perfect for layering, especially now we are in Autumn.  I could picture Nina wearing this jacket over a fitted top of any colour, long scarf, jeans, vintage belt and her tan or blue suede knee high boots.

Lifestream Body Treatments

There's no doubt about it, these Lifestream products are really beautiful to use.  One look at the ingredients list of any of these and you know you've found something special.  I can actually recognise everything on the list!!  Something that is a real rarity these days.  Ingredients include coconut oil, macadamia oil, olive oil, avocado oil, lanolin, jojoba oil, shea nut butter, cocoa butter, aloe vera, evening primrose oil and rosehip oil.  All amazing on their own but when combined in Lifestream's range they are even more amazing.

My baby boy has quite bad keratosis pilaris on his face, and arms, and I found the Baby Butter just the thing to soothe this skin condition and lessen the bumpy appearance.  Knowing there was no nasty chemicals in this product I've been extremely happy to slather this on him, face and all.

The Coconut Sea Salt Scrub is divine, so refreshing, great smelling and left my skin feel moisturised.  The Massage Balm is quite solid in its container but melts into your skin with a lovely lavender fragrance.  The Eye Balm is quite light and beautifully hydrating and who doesn't love a lip balm especially when it's comes in a beaut little tin.

Lifestream Body Treatments is an Australian owned and Sydney based company that is committed to providing the average Aussie girl with natural body products of the highest quality at a reasonable price.  All products and ingredients are made and sourced right here in Australia, with the containers made from the most environmentally packaging materials available.  They are accredited Choose Cruelty Free (no animal testing), and up to 10% of profits to Water of Life, a charity helping disadvantaged women.  A winning product on all fronts, and highly recommended by me.
