last days of summer

Well it's the last weekend for the summer so headed to St Kilda with my hubby to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the coffee, cake shops and fantastic people watching.

I have had this skirt about 3 years and never worn it! What an idiot- because I really like how it looks.  Wearing with my cutie pie clog sandals and basic white shirt.

jeans day

I'm afraid after weeks of avoiding jeans I just had to go back to them, just once.  So comfy, so easy to wear, soooo didn't have to think too hard about my outfit!  I promise to mix it up again next post!!

Out for day shopping with my sis on Bridge Rd- bought some beautiful cream shorts which will no doubt be coming to a blog near you soon : )

inspired...

Today I was inspired by beautiful blogger's Dajana at LE FLASH and Sydney at THE DAYBOOK. With an oversize shirt and booties, and belted scarf.  I'm not sure if I've got Sydney's scarf and belt situation sorted, but I love this look so will be sure to have another go soon.  NOW - time to show off some leg ; )

Headed out to play at Melbourne's iconic Queen Vic Markets which are a foodie heaven!

I like your bun hun

G'DAY to all my wonderful followers- I reached 50 on Google this week which is really exciting, and 7 on Bloglovin'.  Thank you for joining me in the wonderful world of fashion : )  A big G'DAY to everyone else who is visiting too!

This ridiculous bun on top of my head is my new favourite hairstyle- as you can see in this post and my last post 'Hey Shorty, It's your birthday!' When I'm half-way through this with a teezed head of hair it's hilarious- my hubby thought I was wearing a wig! hee hee.  Pic at Facebook.

I'm in love with these shoes from Witchery, and they were my starting point for my outfit here.  The skirt is a dress that I butchered to make a skirt- I feel so feminine in this and can't help but twirl my way through the day.

Hey Shorty, It's your birthday!

Yep I'm the short one, and Sunday was my birthday!  eeeeeee. These pics are from my birthday dinner at the Docklands in Melbourne- where we found the most lovely sunset (see Facebook). My lovely sister took these pics and I told her to make me laugh, she told me my favourite joke: Q. What does an Irish cat do after it goes to the toilet... A. It buries itself.  Seriously funny stuff : )

I'm wearing a cute little white ruffle dress from H&M in London which cost me all of 12 pounds!  The shoes are from a fabulous little shoe shop on the Greek Island of Corfu.  I fell in love with them instantly, they are so different from other shoes I've seen.  The scarf I picked up on Saturday from Sportsgirl- loving the animal print!!

classic white & 40 degrees

Yep, 40'Celsius!!!! That's one hot day.  My darling hubby and I made a spontaneous decision to have a weekend away and we headed off to Daylesford (west of Melbourne).  We hadn't been there before and had SUCH a lovely time exploring the region, eating great food, drinking from natural mineral springs and swimming in waterfalls.  These pictures are at "Lavandula"- lavender farm, which was just sooo beautiful!  We didn't feel the heat too badly here at all.

purple silk

Today I'm wearing great pants from Zara in Paris and a purple silk top from Banana Republic.  The shoes are vintage which I picked up in Canberra quite a few years ago.  I'm loving the lighter colours together.  By the way pretty excited about Zara coming to Melbourne in April!!

p.s. I took a stack of photos and then realised my fly was undone- oops.  Take 2 revealed here ; )

January REwind

Well time to wrap up January with a quick recap on my outfits for the month.  You can click on the title below the photo to go back to the original post if you like.  It's interesting looking back- I've been making a concious effort to try something other than jeans and you can this develop through the month.  Next month I'll try and mix is some funner poses and a bit more colour.

A big thank you to everyone who has visited my blog, and it truly makes my day to hear your comments.  I am finding doing this blog so fun and inspirational!

black jersey

Off to dinner with friends in the city and a fabulous night out!  Needless to say the general public on the train platform thought it rather odd with me balancing the camera on a well placed tap (on timer) and running back and forth between poses. Actually, probably my hubby did too ; )

Wearing a jersey fabric military style dress with new shoes from Aldo on Chapel Street.  $40!!!!!!  The messenger bag is also new, from Saba and it getting some good use (also on sale!).  The silver earrings are from Carcassonne, a delightful walled town in France <big grin>, and <sigh>.

Dress: Cooper St, Shoes: Aldo, Bag: Saba, Cuff: SusSan, Sunnies: Sportsgirl.

Fun fact- JERSEY is a plain weft knitted fabric, or a breed of short horned yellow-brown or fawn dairy cattle noted for their rich milk.
