Boat neck sweater- thanks to Aran Sweater Market
Dannii Minogue Petites mid wash boyfriend jeans- thanks to Target
Heels- Wittner (similar here)
Sunnies- Rayban (here)

No need for a coat when wearing this knit, made in Ireland from 100% merino wool; it is of the highest quality and amazingly warm! As my husband said, "you're wearing a sheep" ;)  I love the Aran Cable design and flattering v-shaped centre panel.

This jumper has been knitted using the original designs of the Aran Islands of Ireland, which can be traced back to around 800 AD!!  Each stitch has a different meaning which related to the everyday lives of the Islanders.  Aran knitwear has become well known for the expertise and craftsmanship of its makers.  No doubt about it this knit will keep me warm for many, many Winters to come!

I should add that Aran Sweater Market offers FREE express shipping to Australia with your order arriving in an amazing 3-4 days.

Dannii Minogue Petites

Heels- Asos (here)
Watch- Swatch (similar here)

Here is my second blog post styling pieces from the fabulous new Designers for Target, Dannii Minogue Petites range.  This dress is one of the most popular pieces of the range, in fact I'm sure many of you have spotted Dannii herself wearing this dress on massive billboards around Melbourne.  Although fitted, it is made from a textured crepe fabric, and fully lined so feels so supportive on and looks so sophisticated don't you think.  The back has a full length exposed zip, such a stand out feature! Perfect for work or an evening out.

For those that are interested I am 5'2" and a size 6 in this range.  But as Dannii says, "petites doesn't just mean small, it's all kinds of shapes and sizes" so that's why you will find the range available instore and online at Target now in sizes 4-16.

Be sure to check out my last blog post styling Dannii's range here...

#DanniForTarget

Shoes- Wittner (similar here)

Recently I had the utmost pleasure to join Target Australia for a photo shoot with the new Designers for Target range, Dannii Minogue Petites.  Designed with all petite body shapes in mind, the range reflects affordable, perfectly proportioned pieces that look stunning off the rack.  I am 5 foot 2 inches tall, the same height as Dannii, so this range couldn't be more perfect for me!  And having tried on most of the range in store yesterday I can confirm that everything fits like a dream!!

One important thing to note, as Danni says "Petite doesn't just mean small, it's all kinds of shapes and sizes.  That's why you'll find my range in sizes 4-19, because I think all women should be able to look and feel amazing".

This blazer is one of my absolute fabourite pieces of the Dannii Minogue Petites range. Tailored and so chic, with a leather look lapel.  These fabulous boyfriend jeans, slight distressed, actually come this length! No hemming required.

I have a couple more outfits to show you, but for a sneak peek check out my Instagram @michellesstylefile or hashtag #dannifortarget

Runaway

Shirt- Mix Apparel (similar here, and here)
Shoes- Asos (here)
Sunnies- RayBan (here)

The shape of the hem line, the vibrant print, what's not to love about this skirt.  There is even a matching crop top which I am coveting, but for now I think a denim shirt is a perfect match.

The leather look: How to style it right

Leather Look
Mink Pink Break It Down skirt
Luck &Trouble Two Tone bucket bag
Mr Mare bootie
Nixon wrap watch
Le Specs sunnies

Leather pieces are wardrobe staples!  So many things are made from leather now, think jackets, skirts, shorts, dresses, bags, shirts, belts, shoes and watches – just have a look at the leather looks on display at http://universalstore.com/.  Here are a few tips on how to wear leather to make it look stylish and fit your personality.

Head-to-toe leather is definitely something to avoid. Try to pair your leather pieces with different fabrics and textures, or you might end up looking like a character from the Matrix. For example, try a more loose fitting leather skirt with a cotton, silk, or satin top tucked in. Or a leather jacket with skinny jeans and a loose fitting pretty top- so chic.  So the message is, if opting for leather in your outfit, keep it simple; choose only one leather piece to wear and contour it against other textures and colours.

Leather doesn’t have to be just black! A peach leather top can be the perfect edgy addition to a casual daytime outfit. White leather can be chic and sexy and is a versatile way to incorporate leather in a more subtle and innocent way. If you can’t seem to get away from the black leather, change it up by adding a colour somewhere else, like your accessories. Leather is one of the fabrics that can go with anything, as long as you have the confidence to own the look! Guaranteed, whatever you have in your closet, if you pair it with a leather jacket, your outfit is now complete.

Not sure about wearing leather? Start small, mix-and-match, and be confident. Play around with leather pieces to see what works best for you and your closet.  Try a beautiful leather bag, a fabulous statement watch,or stunning shoes.  Get used to leather in smaller doses before splurging on something bigger. The best fashion moments come from taking chances and being confident. Just go for it! If it doesn’t work the first time, go back and change it up.
