Ojay

Knit- Ojay (similar here)
Pants- Ojay (similar here and here)
Boots- Asos (similar here and here)
100% natural wooden watch-  thanks to AB AETERNO

When I spotted this knit in store at Ojay I literally did a little jig!!  I had seen this very jumper on my most favourite fashion blogger of all Anh of 9to5Chic about 6 months ago and had been coveting it ever since.  To have found it in Aussie retailer Ojay, in our Winter and at a massive 50% off was most certainly a jig worthy moment.  This knit is astonishingly warm (especially layered with a thermal top), and as someone who really does feel the cold I was quite chuffed at how cosy I was all day : )

To be honest I preferred this outfit with black pointy pumps, but in the end given a drizzly and cold Melbourne day the thought of warm socks won over, so I wore these little ankle boots instead. I couldn't leave without saying something about my watch, 100% natural wood by AB AETERNO- amazing!

The last couple of pics are taken at our favourite soup spot, The Soup Place, in Degraves Street amongst the laneways of Melbourne city.  The perfect Winter stop!

Miss Grace

These are the pics we took a couple of weeks ago, just after my hair cut, all fresh and bouncy.  Although it was the second day of Winter here in Melbourne, it was a beautiful sunny day and reasonably mild- hooray!  Next stop a late lunch : )

How amaze are these heels, or should I call them stilts- sooooo high!! But they look HOT so that's all that matters : ) These are from PeepToe's latest and very beautiful collection- Prim and Provocative.

I also want to mention the pants, you can see the last time I wore them HERE.  I've had a few questions about the fit of these, the fabric etc.  So here's the extra info for you... These ones are a size small and laid flat the waist measures 34cm across.  They are lined from above the knee and the fabric is a light-weight polyester.  There is plenty of length in the leg, as you can see I have them rolled up this time, but I will probably get these hemmed in the near future.

CC & ME

ME:
Spiked bracelet- Asos
Clutch- Asos (cute one here)
Heels- thanks to PeepToe
Jeans- Zara (similar here)
Top- Glassons (similar at Asos)
Cape- borrowed from Cecylia (LOVE this one)
100% natural wooden watch- thanks to AB AETERNO

CECYLIA:
Vintage Mark Shaw jacket, pants and shoes
Edenborough Evans ring (another nature inspired ring here)
Cue skivvy (similar here)

My fellow Melbournian fashion blogger, the gorgeous Ceclyia of Cecylia.com and I thought we would do something a little different and a little fun for you...a photoshoot together!!  So on a foggy and very chilly morning we met at Melbourne's Botanic Gardens and busted some moves.  I don't think we managed to take any photos at all of us being serious- as you can see there was plenty of laughter, a bit of a can-can and some Man Repellar imitations : )

Ceclyia has a knack for finding amazing vintage pieces, her stunning jacket being one example, and in fact the very sweet cape I am wearing is also a vintage piece from Cecylia's collection.  I found a beautiful camel shearling cape which is a similar style to the one I am wearing HERE, on sale too!  Sooo tempted!!

A huge thank you to Cecylia's husband Chian for being our photographer!

Boda Haircutters

Spiked bracelet- Asos

So here it is, my new hair : )
I was soooooooooo in order for a change, especially considering, as you all well know, all I was capable of was putting my long straight hair in a pony tail or basic bun- even a sock bun is out of my hair styling skill scope : /

Boda Haircutters fit me in on a Saturday morning at pretty short notice which was amazing.  Despite a busy salon I got beautiful customer service, enjoyed a lovely latte and the latest gossip mags while Danielle cut away.  The new senior styling Colleen coloured my hair, we went for a warm chocolate brown semi-permanent which I love- so perfect for Winter!  Followed by the best bit about having your hair done, a blissful head massage and blowdry. Yay!!

In terms of the cut I have to admit after a few days I was not feeling the love for my hair and was struggling to make it work for me, so contacted the owner of the salon, Angie.  I was so impressed at the response, Angie immediately got me back in for an adjustment and some styling lessons for new shorter locks.  As Angie and Danielle said to me- if someone isn't happy with their new haircut they would prefer they came back in so they can make it better.  SO reassuring.

So what do you think?  I'm really excited about my new do, this length should be so much more manageable for me.  This is my second go at putting GHD waves through my hair, not quite as fabulous as when Angie and Danielle had finished with me, BUT a bit more experimenting and I'm sure I'll get the knack of it!

On another note Angie also mentioned that she is looking at holding some styling nights at Boda Haircutters where they would teach you how to style your own hair and work your GHD/curling tongs.  How awesome would that be- I'm totally in!!  Anyone else in need of some styling guidance?

You can find Boda Haircutters at

p.s. I was not paid for this review and all views are my own.

Samantha Wills

Silk cami- Banana Republic
Pants- Sportsgirl (coveting these!)
Blazer- Zara (similar here on sale)

I was lucky enough to be asked to be a part of  the latest Samantha Wills Style Session: Blogger's Edit, Turquoise & Gunmetal, which involved me styling a shoot with this ring and cuff from her latest collection.  These pics are Part 1 and are currently featured on the Samantha Wills facebook page.  And you guessed it, if there is a Part 1 there must be a Part 2.... coming soon : )

I simply adore gunmetal and wear it a lot, so this ring and cuff are just my thing.  I love how the turquoise stone reflects the colour of the leaves in the blazer.

Florals

Shirt and pants- Zara (love this shirt here)

Winter has definitely arrived in Melbourne and the temperature is dropping, but I've resisted covering up with a jacket and turned to the thermals- hidden under my shirt.  Sneaky huh!  I can't imagine why I don't do this more often and certainly will be from now on ; )

Loving this floral shirt!  I started this outfit with jeans, and all I needed to top of my look was an akubra hat and I looked ready for a line-dancing showdown.   Not quite the look I was aiming for, so yes, I did indeed loose the jeans quick smart and opted for these relaxed navy chino pants which are rather more comfortable than jeans anyway!

Pics of my new and much shorter hair soon!!

Autumn's end

And that, my lovely readers brings us to the end of Autumn and the start of Winter here in Oz.  April and May have been a busy and exciting couple of months for me with trips to both Japan and Bali!!  We've also had some gorgeous mild Autumn days, but as you see through my April and May outfit pics above, there certainly is a transition to the cooler weather!  Brrrrrrrr.

Now I'm ready to spend a cosy Winter staying put here in my beloved Melbourne- exploring some local regions, movie nights in front of the heater, hearty soups, red wine and hot chocolate; and on the fashion front, boots and layering up with capes, coats and blazers!

OH, in other news I'm getting my hair cut this weekend!! YAY : ) Time for a change I think, can't wait to show you the result.  Check out my last haircut HERE.

Which is your favourite outfit?
