Ray Ban

Ray Ban New Wayfarer sunglasses- thanks to Vision Direct
Vest- Zara
Tee- Country Road

When it comes to sunnies I tend to stick to the classics, you've all seen me in my gold Rayban aviators a squillion times on this blog so there is no doubt I have got great value for money from them.  They were my first pair, in fact until now, my only pair, of designer sunnies!  I always bought cheapo’s because of the great rate I seemed to destroy sunglasses but I have had them for a year now and they’ve survived beautifully.  Really I can have nice things ; )

So time to mix it up and add another classic to the mix with these Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.  I went for the new wayfarer style rather than the retro style- I like them both on me but these ones are a little less oversize.  I also got the polarized version which is SO great and a mirror finish which is something I'm seeing everywhere now and was seriously coveting.

Visiondirect.com.au have a great range of sunglasses at really great prices AND I just noticed on their website that they are registered with a number of health funds so you can claim your health fund rebate for prescription glasses and contact lenses easily.

Lemon capri

Moss Scoop maternity tank- thanks to Soon Maternity
Jewellery- thanks to Angelique
Watch- thanks to Daniel Wellington
Wedges- Nine West (similar exxy or bargain)
Sunnies- Rayban (here)

Here is part two in my series of five posts for Soon Maternity, worn for a casual weekday dinner out with my husband.

I love finding maternity pieces that will take me beyond pregnancy and these two pieces definitely fall into that category!  These lemon capri's are so perfect for Summer and the waist band can fold up over your bump, or fold down under your bump- they also come in mint, red and blue.  The striped tank (currently on sale) is another wardrobe staple and can easily be paired with denim shorts for a relaxed Summer look- actually I think that's my Australia Day outfit done!

Grampians

Hat- Deus
Singlet- Witchery
Sunnies- Sportsgirl
Patagonia shoes- thanks to Natureshop

Well this is a bit of flash back but I still wanted to share these pics with you.  The first weekend of December (22 weeks pregnant) my husband and I had a weekend getaway to the Grampians National Park.   In years past I've spent a fair bit of time rock climbing at Mt Arapiles which is near there, but the Grampians itself isn't a region of Victoria I had visited previously and I was keen to have a bit of explore, do some bush walks and be a bit spontaneous before bub arrives.

The Grampians are about a 3 hour drive from Melbourne so we went for two nights and stayed in a really lovely boutique wooden cabin (making the most of it while we can!) in the bush at Halls Gap.  It was such a delight to wake up to the birds singing and views of my beloved Australian bush.  There was an absolute ripper thunderstorm the first night we were there too. We did a few short walks to various lookouts and Macquarie Falls, as well as a longer, and steeper walk to The Pinnacle (first two pics).  As you can see above the scenery is so beautiful, with pretty mountain steams perfect for a little paddle and a friendly native.

FYI, you can view my review of these hiking shoes and the most amazing bushwalk in Victoria HERE.

Soon Maternity

Bag- thanks to Saba (last season) (similar)
Lili cuff- thanks to Ooh La La
Heels- Tony Bianco (similar)

I am delighted to be working on a collaboration with Soon Maternity, particularly because their maternity wear is made and designed right here in Melbourne, and of course because I have been on the hunt for fabulous and stylish maternity wear!

Over the next few weeks I have 5 different outfits to show you, this beautiful dress being the first.  This dress would be so perfect for work (in fact it was just the thing to pop in my carry-on for a recent business trip to Tassie), but also for a wedding or dinner out- just mix and match your shoes and accessories!  I love the wrap style of this dress and how it shows of my bump. The fabric is a nice soft jersey and it also comes in a beautiful emerald colour and a navy print.

I couldn't not mention the bling- my bracelet and earrings are from Ooh La La Accessories new jewellery line.  SO stunning!!

Wedding outfit

Dress- Ripe Maternity
Earrings- Sussan
Witchery heels- thanks to Westfield
Ring & cuff- thanks to The Dark Horse
Sunnies- Ray Ban

In this post HERE I mentioned I had a weekend trip to Sydney at the start of December for the absolutely wonderful occasion of my youngest sisters wedding.  So finally I am sharing my outfit for the day! It was a very relaxed affair with a ceremony and picnic reception at a park with beautiful views of the city.  My sister wore a stunning cream Zimmerman strapless dress.

I had a shopping day out a week before the wedding to track down a dress for me.  There is heaps of maternity wear online, but being a special occasion I really wanted to try things on first and I left myself a bit short on time too.  I do believe I tried on every single dress at  Ripe Maternity which was the only maternity store in Melbourne city I could find, and was feeling quite deflated until I spotted this dress in the catalogue in store and arranged for them to order it in- and it arrived the next day!  I love how it is fitted to show off my bump, and the length to the knee is one of my favourites for my shape.  Paired with pops of coral and orange, and sunglasses a must!

I'll add that platform I'm standing on at the end was moving around like crazy! My middle sister took my pics for me and we were both stumbling all over the place- much hilarity : )

T-back

Heels- thanks to Steve Madden
Cuffs- H&M (similar)
Sunnies- Sportsgirl (similar)

The perfect dress for a warm Summer's day from THE maxi dress specialist Paper Scissors Frock paired with rose gold jewellery and nude heels for a brunch date with a girlfriend in the lane ways of Melbourne city.  This dress is actually quite similar to one I had been eyeing off at Witchery, but at less than $50 who could say no!

Hope you are all keeping cool in this crazy heat.

Hat day

Dress- Zara (similar)
Shoes- Zara (similar
Hat- Seed kids(similar)
Sunnies- Rayban (here)
Ring and cuff- thanks to The Darkhorse
Elise bowlers tote- thanks to Wayne by Wayne Cooper (Myer)

My husband and I recently spent a couple of nights in Sydney waaaay back at the start of December for my sisters wedding (my wedding outfit to come), and on the morning after the wedding my whole family all met for breakfast on the North Shore.  We live in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney so it was lovely to have us all together. The morning had started out so beautifully! Sunny, blue skies, warm (hence the hat) BUT 9.30am and a cool, wet and windy change swept through, so my middle sister and I dashed away from breakfast and grabbed some pics before the weather turned even worse!!  My hat even blew away mid photograph and I was lucky it wasn't claimed by Sydney Harbor ; )

I loved staying on the North Shore (Milsons Point), it was slightly removed from the hustle bustle of the city, but still so close- a ferry ride, a short walk or a couple of stops on the train. And of course the views across the harbor were magnificent and Kirabilly a beautiful suburb to walk the streets and explore.

This Wayne by Wayne Cooper bag was wonderful to travel with, a nice decent size and a great colour.  My iPad fit perfectly in the side pocket and there was plenty of room inside for my umbrella, cardigan and a water bottle sitting upright!  And coincidentally it matched my shoes perfectly : )  These fabulous sandals are no longer in Zara but you could probably buy shoes online which are similar.

Rust & Regret

Dress- French Connection (love this white dress)
The Barbaric bracelets- thanks to Rust & Regret
Chastity key necklace- thanks to Rust & Regret
Benadet sandle- thanks to Steve Madden
Sunnies- Rayban

Looking rather like I have a basket ball up my dress and officially in my third trimester- eep!!  I've had this dress a few years now, but it comes out every Summer- last seen here on a thinner version of me ; ), so perfect for a hot Melbourne day.  Once again I'm in flat shoes!

Now how cool is this jewellery, I love the skull bracelet most of all.  Rust & Regret have also just brought out the most amazing ring (pictured below) in a unique collaboration with well-renowned American artist, Derek Nobbs, on a limited edition (just 40 pieces!), sterling silver, nautical-themed signet ring made here in Australia.  Available for pre-order now here.
