Boda Haircutters

Spiked bracelet- Asos

So here it is, my new hair : )
I was soooooooooo in order for a change, especially considering, as you all well know, all I was capable of was putting my long straight hair in a pony tail or basic bun- even a sock bun is out of my hair styling skill scope : /

Boda Haircutters fit me in on a Saturday morning at pretty short notice which was amazing.  Despite a busy salon I got beautiful customer service, enjoyed a lovely latte and the latest gossip mags while Danielle cut away.  The new senior styling Colleen coloured my hair, we went for a warm chocolate brown semi-permanent which I love- so perfect for Winter!  Followed by the best bit about having your hair done, a blissful head massage and blowdry. Yay!!

In terms of the cut I have to admit after a few days I was not feeling the love for my hair and was struggling to make it work for me, so contacted the owner of the salon, Angie.  I was so impressed at the response, Angie immediately got me back in for an adjustment and some styling lessons for new shorter locks.  As Angie and Danielle said to me- if someone isn't happy with their new haircut they would prefer they came back in so they can make it better.  SO reassuring.

So what do you think?  I'm really excited about my new do, this length should be so much more manageable for me.  This is my second go at putting GHD waves through my hair, not quite as fabulous as when Angie and Danielle had finished with me, BUT a bit more experimenting and I'm sure I'll get the knack of it!

On another note Angie also mentioned that she is looking at holding some styling nights at Boda Haircutters where they would teach you how to style your own hair and work your GHD/curling tongs.  How awesome would that be- I'm totally in!!  Anyone else in need of some styling guidance?

Haircut by Boda

Look left..
Look centre...
Look right ; )

I have a confession....

It's been 11 months since I had my hair cut and coloured -11 months (eep!!)
I can tell you those ends were starting to get nasty, but thanks to Angie and Danielle at Boda Haircutters I am finally feeling myself and my hair is looking healthy and fabulous.  It's actually a huge credit to Danielle, who also cut my hair last time, that the cut lasted so well!

Each time I have had my hair done by Boda Haircutters I have been really impressed by the amazing standard of customer service, in paritcular the level of consultation before they launch in and cut off your locks.

I've had some pretty bad experiences before in terms of cuts and colours, so was delighted to have Danielle spend quite some time with me figuring out the right colour, explaining how the various dye options would react with my hair, how the dye actually works and what those R's and G's actually mean. So helpful!  I settled on semi-permanant in a rich chocolate brown with golden undertones to warm up my look.

In terms of cut I was after 3-4 inches off, and that is exactly what I got- perfect!  Danielle described my cut as long and sculpted with plenty of texture.  Danielle finished my look with glamorous waves which I just love!

I had a beautiful iced apple tea to drink while I was there and the latest gossip mags to read (my guilty pleasure), a brilliant head massage and the most gorgeous surrounds of the salon (pictured above).  I can tell you I am totally mesmorised by that stunning chandelier.

I sincerely recommend Boda Haircutters to you, it really is the best hairdressing experience I have ever had and I always leave simply stoked with the result.

paperbag pants

Okay they are really paperbag shorts, but really paperbag pants just sounds better and I guess technically it's the same thing. These are brand new from Witchery and the first time I've worn them.  Shorts present a challenge to me so apart from the denim shorts these are the only other pair I own.

A beautiful sunny day out and about in wonderful Melbourne. OH and did I mention I got a haircut!! Just got a teeny bit off- doesn't it just make you feel a million bucks : )
And I found the most fabulous BLUE wall! Hours of fun to be had here ; )
Shorts & Shoes: Witchery, Top: Portmans, Cuff & Earrings: Diva, Ring: RhapsodyDesign, Sunnies: Sportsgirl.  Hair by Danielle at Boda Haircutters.
