January has become the month of wonderful getaways and day trips.  On Saturday we hit the road and headed out of Melbourne and to Torquay for the day- about a 1 hour drive.  After a delightful lunch (of cake) we went to Back Beach and straight in to the surf with the boogie board.  The beach was soooo busy but it was still wonderful- the ocean really is good for the soul.  

Such a great day!

Thailand- Jade wrist candy

Today we hired a car for an explore of Koh Samui island.  We found sweet little villages, fruit stalls, beautiful people and whole families on scooters- my new favourite photography subject.  It was soooo hot so I'm wearing the coolest dress I think I own, and a tiny bit of bling : )

We had dinner on the beach at the Fisherman's Village- Bophut Beach, an amazing spot and an amazing night.  I also bought some jade bracelets here- my new favourite wrist candy!
