Lord Coconut

Traisie heels- thanks to Steve Madden
Leather jacket- Sportsgirl (similar here)
Necklace- Diva

Bare legs in Winter- crazy I know, but Melbourne topped 18 degrees last Saturday.
Sun-shiny and fabulous!

So now to something I wanted to share with you!  This week I was fortunate enough to be invited to a couple of events, the first being PeepToe Chadstone grand opening as seen in my last blog post.  The second was something a little bit different, a jewellery making workshop led by local jewellery designer A.l.i. Alexander at Lord Coconut- the destination for quirky and fabulous men's jewellery from over 30 local designers at Flinders Lane in Melbourne.

Each of us were given a piece of blutak to make into a jewellery design of our choice which can then be cast in silver.  Consequently all creative thoughts quickly flew out of my mind and then much to my dismay I knocked my red wine across the table, saturating all the jewellery making tools : /  Despite my efforts of sabotage it was such a fun and interesting night and I highly recommend my fellow Melbournians pay a visit to Lord Coconut.

Curious? Well check out my design along with my fellow bloggers over HERE.
There is also a chance to win one of our designs!

Sangria

Heels- Country Road (similar)
Necklace- Sportsgirl (similar)
Cuffs- H&M (similar)
Sunnies- Rayban

These pics are actually taken in Bali, where I have been lucky enough to spend the last week there for a friends wedding- my husband was in the bridal party so we HAD to go ; )  It was a wonderful relaxing time with friends and the wedding itself was so much fun with every guest (including myself) being physically thrown in the pool wedding attire and all- the bride and her beautiful dress went in too!!

A colourful maxi is a must for a beach getaway- so easy to wear, yet somehow still instantly glamorous for that dinner on the beach at sunset.  Paper Scissors Frock are THE maxi dress specialist any have heaps of styles to choose from- you can see the last time I wore one of their dresses HERE.

I also thought I would take this opportunity to show you some pics from an event I attended recently with fellow Melbourne bloggers Cecylia, Iolanthe and Sarah.  We were seated front row at personal stylist Cindy Newstead's Style Review runway show where seven of her clients ranging in ages 25 to 55, and sizes 6 to 16, showcased a series of stunning Autumn/Winter looks.
Great inspiration for the cooler weather ahead of us!

Fashionopolis

Bracelet, thanks to PeepToe shoes
Shirt- Country Road (similar here)
Pants- Sportsgirl (craving these!)
Heels- Zara (loving these!)

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be a guest at Nuffnang Fashionopolis, Australia's very first fashion blogger industry event hosted by the Nuffnang team and the lovely Lady Melbourne.  It was such a fantastic day where I got to learn more about the business of blogging, catch up with my fellow Aussie fashion bloggers, and finally meet the person behind the blog face to face in many instances!!   Of course a gathering of fashion bloggers is a wardrobe crisis inducing event so I kept it pretty simple with leather pants and a silk shirt- of which I did manage to spill my coffee on during the day : /

You can find the Nuffnang Fashionopolis link up and all the blog posts by other bloggers who attended HERE!
Here are some of my pics of the day, can you spot some familiar faces below : )

And finally, don't forget about my GIVEAWAY!

JUNK

Bag- Wayne by Wayne Cooper (Myer)

How fabulous is this cape! I feel sooo cosy and it is the most gorgeous shade of red- just the thing now that the cold weather has really kicked in here in Melbourne.

This is what I wore on Sunday to the Walk In Wardrobe fashion market held at Boda Haircutters, Greville St, Prahran.   Walk In Wardrobe was established by gorgeous Melbourne girls Angie and Meg as an annual event to raise money for charity.  This year proceeds went to Kiss Goodbye to MS, an iniative of MS Australia to raise funds for vital research into a cure and support services.  A cause very dear to my heart.

The kiss on my jacket is the symbol of Kiss Goodbye to MS.
WEAR RED LIPSTICK, DARE OTHERS TO GO RED.

Here are a few pics from the markets:

Peplum by Pilgrim

Heels- Zara

How elegant and feminine is this dress! I just love the shoulder bow detail as well as the fabulous peplum skirt- makes for such an amazing silhouette.  I must add that this dress is made and designed right here in Melbourne, Australia and is also available in black.  I added classic black pumps, gold accessories and red lippy for an elegant and feminine look.

Pilgrim has channeled old Hollywood glamour in designing a selection of cocktail hour worthy pieces- this dress being one of them.  Oozing luxury, structured styles in opulent fabrics ensure classic ladylike elegance.    You can view the entire range online at Pilgrim.

These pics are taken at the Docklands where I attended the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Runway 7 on Wednesday night.  As you can see there was the most spectacular sunset which made my golden dress glow! This was my very first fashion Australian fashion show EVER and I thought this cocktail dress would be just the thing!  Here's some pics of the show...

And finally, don't forget my giveaway to WIN your very own and very amazing Estilo Emporio LA Box Bag, just like mine above, from the lovely folk at In Her Shoes Boutique.
