eeeeeeeeeeeeeee Venice- my favourite city of all.  Bucketed rain all day though which added to the adventure!! Hunter gumboots would have been the preferred shoe choice for today...

Loved the beautiful masks and the glass jewellery in Venice.

Pompeii

Well this was the hottest day of all at 45 degrees Celsius and time for a fascinating tour of the city of Pompeii.  I picked up this little white top at Zara in Barcelona- just the thing and the audio-guide makes the perfect accessory ; )

The view behind me in the second picci is the Almalfi Coast- just a little glimpse.

Instructions for today were 'church dress', so knees and shoulders covered.  I wore a plain black 3/4 dress and had my scarf at the ready.  I picked up this gorgeous red umbrella outside the Colosseum for about 4 Euro and it sure came in handy.  This scarf is another one of my favourites- black, white and tan colours go with just about everything- its also a great length and shape= love it!

Rome! It got even hotter, so another day for the denim shorts- we madly rushed around Rome seeing as much as we could.  Here I am on the Spanish Steps and also looking extremely happy to see the Trevi Fountain.

One of the best days of the trip in Florence, Italy.  Of course it was action packed and hot! Time to bring out the summer dress and trusty thongs...
