Maybelline SuperStay + GIVEAWAY

Brought to you by Nuffnang and Maybelline

Over the last few weeks I have been testing out the NEW Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Range.  Its Maybelline's first vitamin enriched long wear foundation and concealer with skin improving Actyl-C formula.

So what is Actyl-C? The same question did cross my mind! It's actually a vitamin derivative which leaves skin feeling energized, fresh, healthy and radiant.  It also promotes skin regeneration, so much so that the word is that in just three weeks of using Maybelline's SuperStay Better Skin range you will see smoother skin and more even skin tone!

The foundation is lightweight and comfortable, while giving full all day flawless coverage.  The SPF14 is another bonus feature of this foundation. For a long time I've used BB cream, but I loved the coverage of this foundation combined with the concealer and a powder, plus it still looked great at the end of the day.  The concealer reduces those dark under eye circles beautifully- a must when I've spent the night up with bub. The numbering of the shades across the SuperStay range is consistent, which makes it really easy to get a great match between concealer, foundation and powder.

I particularly love that this range goes above and beyond your regular makeup, actually improving your skin!! Great for those of us for whom multitasking is a must.

There are eight shades of the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation ($21.95); I'm the 021 Nude during winter which is the fourth swatch from the left in the pics above.  And two tones of the Maybeline SuperStay Better Skin Concealer ($14.95); I'm the 02 Light.

To find out more about these products and the chance to WIN 1 of 500 foundations head to the Maybelline Facebook page.

GIVEAWAY TIME!

The leather look: How to style it right

Leather Look
Mink Pink Break It Down skirt
Luck &Trouble Two Tone bucket bag
Mr Mare bootie
Nixon wrap watch
Le Specs sunnies

Leather pieces are wardrobe staples!  So many things are made from leather now, think jackets, skirts, shorts, dresses, bags, shirts, belts, shoes and watches – just have a look at the leather looks on display at http://universalstore.com/.  Here are a few tips on how to wear leather to make it look stylish and fit your personality.

Head-to-toe leather is definitely something to avoid. Try to pair your leather pieces with different fabrics and textures, or you might end up looking like a character from the Matrix. For example, try a more loose fitting leather skirt with a cotton, silk, or satin top tucked in. Or a leather jacket with skinny jeans and a loose fitting pretty top- so chic.  So the message is, if opting for leather in your outfit, keep it simple; choose only one leather piece to wear and contour it against other textures and colours.

Leather doesn’t have to be just black! A peach leather top can be the perfect edgy addition to a casual daytime outfit. White leather can be chic and sexy and is a versatile way to incorporate leather in a more subtle and innocent way. If you can’t seem to get away from the black leather, change it up by adding a colour somewhere else, like your accessories. Leather is one of the fabrics that can go with anything, as long as you have the confidence to own the look! Guaranteed, whatever you have in your closet, if you pair it with a leather jacket, your outfit is now complete.

Not sure about wearing leather? Start small, mix-and-match, and be confident. Play around with leather pieces to see what works best for you and your closet.  Try a beautiful leather bag, a fabulous statement watch,or stunning shoes.  Get used to leather in smaller doses before splurging on something bigger. The best fashion moments come from taking chances and being confident. Just go for it! If it doesn’t work the first time, go back and change it up.

The Body Shop At Home- Lifestyle Kit

This month with The Body Shop At Home it's all about the $199 Lifestyle Kit available for people who join as an independent consultant.  This amazing kit includes over $670 worth in products and business tools, basically setting you up with your very own business, and all that goes with that- in particular the flexibility of working hours that suit your lifestyle and making money!!  If you are wanting to save for a holiday, impending wedding, or other momentous occasion this could be a really great opportunity to earn some extra cash.

The Body Shop At Home also offer free training and support for their consultants, not to mention all the gorgeous products you would get to play with!

When you think about it, the Lifestyle Kit is actually a pretty awesome offer.  Thinking of start up costs for my blog, just trademarking 'Michelle's Style File' cost way more than that! Add the cost of a camera, lens, registering the domain name, and business cards- plus countless hours in building up my readership and developing relationships with brands.  There's no training or support, and to be honest there is not much money being made here either ;)

You can find more info about becoming a consultant on The Body Shop At Home website.
