My mom adores Coco Mademoiselle Chanel perfume. It was love at first smell. She wishes to have it one day. I bet she must be very happy if I could get her one.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous red swing dress (she looks fab in red!) and then an invite back to my house for homemade chocolate cake.

All you need to do is give her a simple kiss, a gorgeous flower in the morning and spend the afternoon at the beach with her (:
ReplyDeleteA spa treatment like a massage and facial or something like that. Then lunch at a yummy restaurant with the grandkids. My mum never stops so this would give her some me time and some family time!
ReplyDeleteOur family tradition has always been high tea with champagne, and now that I am a mother myself I think it is too good a tradition to change....even if last year the high tea was at home with 4 young kids running around, it just made it more special :)
ReplyDeleteBest present for mum is to give her a day of doing nothing at all!!! Al mum never has a holiday. A day that's trully devoted just to her. Bliss :)
ReplyDeleteA great idea is to take mum to a day spa and a nice basket full of choccies :)
ReplyDeleteI would get my Mum some new Chanel No 5 this gift card could go towards it.
ReplyDeleteMum loves a superb skincare product; I'd splurge on Lancome ... and of course there'd be breakfast in bed :)
ReplyDeleteI'd treat my mum to a massage. She deserves a real masseuse as opposed to my feeble hands over the years!
ReplyDeleteDaisy is such a classic! Love it!
ReplyDeleteMost Mum's, like mine, rarely get time to themselves. So this Mother's Day I will give my Mum some well deserved (and long overdue) 'ME' time. I will give mum time to either get out of the house to go have tea with a good friend, shop, or go for a stroll in park. Should she just wish to relax alone I'll take the younger kids out of the house so she can sit on the couch and read a good book – all options will result in my mum getting some ‘me’ time to recharge herself!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to take my mum out for a all-day date - nothing super fancy, but relaxing and just us. A day of breakfast at her favourite local cafe, shopping in the city, lunch by the harbor, spa/pampering time, followed by movie (of her choice) and then a lovely homemade dinner. I will make this mother's day HER day because she has been devoting her life to us.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, those gloves are everything. Fabulous post, love. If you get a second, I'd love if you'd enter my latest giveaway. Thanks so much, love. xo

I've been living in Canada for the last 3 months (still an Aussie resident though) If i could jump on a plane with hubby and bubby in tow to surprise mum for Mother's Day I'm sure that would be the best Mother's Day idea. Unfortunately this is not an option...
ReplyDeleteMy mum has always been a David Jones girl and was even before I worked there as a teen. Although seeing us would be the ultimate surprise giving her a gift card to somewhere she loves would be awesome!
A male stripper.
ReplyDeleteEnough said!
Cooking my Mum a meal is what I love to do for Mothers Day, but the most important thing is that I always wash, wipe and clean up, all the things I didn't do when I was a kid!!

My mom would be spoiled if we gave her time to do her art.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway Michelle!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, so my mum has passed away but I recently saw on the DJ's site that Glasshouse has made a candle with DJ's, the fragrance is Daphne. My mum's most favourite flower was Daphne, every time I smell it I'm just completely enveloped in her memory... it sounds kind of silly but it's amazing what a smell can do to you.
So with that voucher I'd buy the candle for her memory and for me in my first year as a mother.

I came here to leave a comment and enter... but now I just want Blithely Unaware to win her candle. My Mum's name is Daphne, so it would be fitting.
ReplyDeleteEek! My Mum would love this!

P.S: Congrats on being a new Mum! <3 xx
In our house we love to spoil Mum in unexpected ways - we go and decorate her garden at night so she wakes up to fairies and lights everywhere, or hide little old-fashioned Par Avion airmail envelopes everywhere through the house with lovely song lyrics written inside!
ReplyDeleteMy Mum and I have a lovely tradition of shopping together in the lead-up to Mother's Day at David Jones! It follows in her footsteps as a country girl, coming to town with her parents and her Mum taking her to the big David Jones store in the city as a treat and sharing a few chocolates and a cup of tea. Then they'd stroll through the millernry section (everyone wore hats back then) and try out fragrances together. Mum said she always loved shopping with her mother at David Jones, there was something so 'grownup' about it and they would giggle together like girlfriends. My mum and I try to do the same very year!

Mumsie and I just like to spend quality time together. This year we are actually going shopping for my wedding dress. Seeing as this is hopefully only going to happen once then I consider that spoiling her!
ReplyDeletePerfume and a high tea would make the perfect mothers day!! xxx
