Maternity Style File

Finally, I have gotten my act together and done a bit of a summary of my maternity style!!
These pics start at 17 weeks dressed in pink at the races, right through to nearly 39 weeks in the red pants.  In fact I went into labour the night after that final pic was taken.

It was such fun dressing my bump!! A big thanks to Soon Maternity and Fillyboo Maternity for keeping me stylish throughout my pregnancy.  Now its all about looking stylish while nursing- a tad more difficult I'm finding.  All tips most welcome :)

For all the details of my outfits just click on the the 'Maternity Style File' heading at the top of the page.

Introducing baby Ashley :)

Scarf- Witchery (loving this one  for Winter)
Heels- Zara (similar here)

Hi all! Sorry it's been a bit quiet on the blog lately, but I have had my hands full with this adorable little fellow.  He's just over 3 weeks old now, and I can't believe what a blur those 3 weeks have been.  I've had a few requests for some pics of me with my new bub so here they are- these pics were actually taken when he was only 5 days old but I've only just got around to blogging them! SO tiny-actually he still is :)

I'm loving being a mum, and my husband has taken to being a dad like a fish in water and is absolutely smitten with his son. We try and have a little outing each afternoon- a walk around the park, a late lunch or as simple as a coffee.  And I must admit I'm not missing work one bit!

To the outfit- this is still my maternity clothing.  You can see me wearing the knit here, and the pants here during my pregnancy.  In fact this outfit is pretty much my go to most days- being rather sleep deprived and scatterbrained, I tend to pop on the same outfit every time I leave the house ;)  Soooo, these pants, this knit and some cute leopard print ballet flats is certainly comfortable and presentable!

It's a boy!

I am so pleased to introduce you to my brand new little fellow...
baby Ashley!

This dear little boy arrived exactly 1 week early at 3.18pm on Monday 25 March weighing 3.12kg (6.9 pounds), 49 cm long and perfect in every way!!  You can see more piccies on Instagram or Facebook : )

My waters broke in the early hours of Sunday (the night I took these pics!!) and then labour kicked in about midday on Sunday.  It all went as smoothly as I could've hoped for with a fantastic midwife and obstetrician. I then had 4 wonderful nights in hospital falling head over heels for my little lamb.  If you had ever told me I would be content to be confined to a single room with a newborn for that long I would've thought you crazy, but it really was the best and there was nowhere in the world I would've rather have been.  My husband was able to stay overnight as well, and with lovely meals delivered and helpful midwives it was a great introduction to motherhood.

Today, 5 April, also marks my husband and my 10th wedding anniversary! I can't believe how time flies, it's been a fabulous 10 years and now there are three of us I've no doubt there will be many more fabulous years to come.  Anyways, I'll share some more on that, and perhaps some wedding piccies another day : )

Tank- Witchery

Yep, my belly is freaking huge and yep, I am indeed ready to drop any day now!! Baby is in position all ready to go. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)  Stay tuned on Instagram and Facebook for the big announcement!!

Now to my outfit.
This jacket is now officially the most precious and loved piece in my wardrobe, its Versace from Voi Exculsive Designer Outlet based in Castlereagh St in Sydney...online soon- hooray!  I love the clean lines, classic shape and beautiful gold button detailing of this jacket- such an amazing classic designer piece.  Although I've squeezed it on today, I simply can not wait to wear it post pregnancy- I'm thinking leather skinnies, white tee and leopard print heels for starters.  Its certainly a piece I think you'll see on me often here on the bloggity.

Voi get new stock in every week from brands including Fendi, D&G, Gucci, Prada, Miu Miu, Bvlgari among others, all at heavily discounted prices.  I can't wait to have a look next time I'm in Sydney.

Boxy

Heels- Tony Bianco (similar here and here)
Necklace- thanks to Sistaco

I know I keep banging on about pregnant lady wardrobe staples, but when you are a peculiar shape for a only a short amount of time you don't want to be splashing your cash on pieces that you will only wear once.  So here I go again with another wardrobe staple for you- black pants and a black knit!  Both pieces I know I will continue to wear post pregnancy.

These pants are actually the capri style but because I'm a shorty they finish perfectly at my ankle which I love (you can see the straight leg version on me HERE).  This boxy knit is such a beautiful fine knit and is also available in red- I changed my mind about which colour 17 times before deciding on the black.

And of course I couldn't go without a mention to this beautiful statement necklace! Sistaco have an amazing range of unique, glamourous, yet affordable jewellery and this necklace is one such piece.  I love the mix of colours.  Love this? Be sure to stay tuned because I have a giveaway just around the corner!!

38 weeks and still here- hoping bub arrives a bit early...maybe this week (fingers crossed!!)
Not because I want bub out but because I just can't wait to meet him/her :)

Swarovski Tropical Paradise- WIN

Ring- Swarovski
Tee- Country Road (similar)
Sneakers- Nike (similar

Swarovski's Tropical Paradise collection has just hit stores and features this beautiful three dimensional crystal beetle- so beautifully sparkling and colourful!!  I was actually hoping to do a bit of a tropical paradise theme for this blog post, but being in Melbourne, in Autumn, and with my limited wardrobe at the moment it didn't come together- however I'd thought I let the beetle be the standout with this simple grey and black outfit.

This skirt is from Soon Maternity, fitted to the knee in a lovely textured fabric this skirt is a really great basic piece that can take you beyond pregnancy.  The sneakers are another new addition, I thought I needed some pretty kicks to see me through my days pushing a pram around AND they match my beetle's wings perfectly : )

On another note you have the chance to WIN one of these stunning pendant's for yourself!!
Just fill out the form below- easy peasy.
(Competition closes at midnight, 18 March 2013)

Brunch at Sea Circus

Heels- Tony Bianco (similar here and here)
Necklace- Diva (similar)
Sunglasses- Rayban

This gorgeous print maxi is also from Vamastyle's latest collection.  And once again, no it's not a maternity dress and yes I know I am barely fitting into it, BUT how fabulous is this print AND that side split! Plus it's such a gorgeous light floaty silk I couldn't resist.  Plus there is pockets! I love pockets in a dress.  Another dress I'll be hanging to wear next Summer when I haven't got a ginormous belly : )

These pics were taken a month ago at Hamilton Island- loving that tropical foliage!

You can see last time I wore Vamastyle HERE.

Celina 3/4

Heels- Tony Bianco (similar here and here)
Sunnies- Sportsgirl

Last week I was lucky enough to view Soon Maternity's Autumn/Winter range which has just landed on their website, and even luckier to get a few pieces for myself to show you guys.  The Celina tank seen HERE, has been THE wardrobe staple of my wardrobe at the moment. I wear it constantly and find it so easy to change its look so I was excited to see that this very same dress came in a sleeved version.

At 8.5 months preggers, I'm feeling, and looking, positively huge  : /
Hopefully I'll get to show you all the looks before bub arrives!!

Honey Honey

Realove heels- Steve Madden (similar here and here)

Pregnant ladies need to party too, and this cocktail dress by Fillyboo Maternity is such a fun option for any special occasion.  The big sequins pick up on whatever colour is around so I thought this coral clutch the same colour as my painted toes was the perfect pop of colour, while keeping the heels neutral to lengthen those legs.

Come to think of it, this could be a fun dress pregnant or not : )
