Harmony Ball

Dannii Minogue Petites jacket- Target (here, or similar here)
Pants- Cotton On (similar here)
Heels- Steve Madden (old, similar here)
Sunnies- RayBan (here)

All about wardrobe staples here today, especially this classic striped tee by the boho masters at Bohemian Traders.  The best striped tee I've come across, beautiful soft, thick, quality fabric and the perfect amount of swing.

My necklace is particularly interesting today.  The pendant is a Harmony Ball, and inside there is a small bell that chimes with movement, just like a tiny wind charm! Traditionally, in Balinese and Mayan cultures, Harmony Ball pendants are worn by pregnant women on a long necklace so the pendant rests against their baby bump.  It is said that from about 16-20 weeks the baby can hear the soothing sound of the soft chimes.  After bub is born, traditionally the mother will shorten the necklace so that it can be played with by the baby whilst breastfeeding or rocking to sleep.  Of course, the sound of the harmony ball will be a familiar sound associated with warmth and comfort, just like their mothers soothing voice. The harmony ball then becomes a precious keepsake passed on from mother to daughter.

The Harmony Ball itself is beautiful and of very high quality.  Made of sterling silver it has a lovely weight in your hand and chimes prettily.  It arrived in a little blue gift box with a 45cm necklace length.  A longer necklace is also available which I'm wearing above.

I should add, these pendants are a beautiful fashion statement of their own, with or without a baby bump or baby!

Harmonyball.net.au have over 250 Harmony Ball designs to choose from, plus heaps of information about the benefits of Harmony Balls and tips for spotting a fake.  Birth stone models are also available, so you could wear your own birth stone, of that of the due month of the baby if pregnant.  Such a lovely idea don't you think!

Oh, and no I'm not pregnant ;)

Jeanswest Junior

Poe tee, Grayson shirt and Dante shorts - all thanks to Jeanswest
DC shoes- Surfstitch (here)
Bunny- Jellycat (here)

Today I've got my gorgeous little poppet, 18 month old Ash, making a guest appearance.  His outfit here is all from the Jeanswest Kids range.  The well made, durable, and very reasonably priced the collection is well worth a look.   I picked these up from the new Jeanswest flagship store at Highpoint Shopping Centre along with a few pieces for myself- see here.  If you are interested in sizes, Ash is wearing size 1 shorts, size 2 tee and size 3 shirt.  I got the bigger sizes on top so they will last him a bit longer, but bigger pants just fall down! Oh and the hair clip, we get a few questions about it.  I can't bear to cut his pretty locks so it keeps the hair out of his face  Simple as that :)

I took these pics last Sunday at the National Gallery of Victoria Hyper-Natural exhibition.  Fellow Melbournians, do yourselves a favour and check it out.  This post isn't sponsored but Ash and I had the best time so I had to share!! The weather was glorious, plus we were first through the doors in the morning so virtually had the gardens to ourselves.  The mist you see in the photos if beautifully perfumed and you can learn all about scent molecules! It really is pretty amazing, plus the gardens themselves are quite beautiful and a lovely place to relax and enjoy the view... and smell.

Najo Jewellery

Wedges- Nine West (old, great option here as seen on Princess Kate!)
Sunnies- RayBan (here)

You know when you put something on and you really just feel like it's you.  Well that is this outfit for me, everything about it feels very ME!  The jeans are a perfect fit and so comfy, the wedges give me height and extra leg length, this Bohemian Traders top is pretty, floaty and just the right amount of 'hippy' that I love, a silver cuff has always been my go to piece of jewellery for many many years now, and the earrings compliment it all beautifully.  I wore this exact same outfit both Saturday and Sunday last weekend, I love it so much, just swapping the wedges for my Birks for a trip to the zoo.

Have a close look at the sterling silver cuff I'm wearing, it is new in from Najo Jewellery and is absolutely beautiful and such amazing quality.  The silver has been woven to create this amazing basket weave effect, making it so unique and perfect to wear on its own- or stack it up with a mass of bangles.  The sterling silver earrings are also from Najo Jewellery, featuring this intricate cut out that matches this bohemian style top so perfectly.

On another note, soooooo need a haircut.  I'm so time poor these days as a mum, working full time, plus the bloggity, that a hair cut has kept moving to the bottom of the list, along with an eye check and trip to the dentist.  Oops! Anyone else with me on this?
