Date night

Holiday RomanceoBroderie Dress- Portmans (here)
Heels- Topshop (old, similar here)
'Michelle' necklace- thanks to oNecklace

I had my hair cut, and thought I best make the most of an excellent hair situation by wearing a new dress and heading out!  The babysitter fell through, so all three of us went out for an early dinner.  A lovely Summer evening and I'm always up for an excuse to dress up.

This dress, bought full price (!), is now on sale :/ I can't spot the navy option online however I saw plenty in store just this week, also the coral and white options. Despite already having done a bit of damage to the credit card with the Boxing Day sales I'm really tempted to get this dress in white as well... it would look so good with tan wedges... hmmmmm, actually so would the coral!

I will also point out my name necklace.  I love this look, of course originally worn by Carrie in the Sex in the City.  This one is from oNecklace who has have a range of very affordable personalised jewellery.

Finally, I hope you all had a really happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!!!!

This kid

Bucket Hat- thanks to Acorn Kids
Overalls and tee- Big W (similar here)
Sandals- Pumpkin Patch (similar here)
Bunny- Jelly Cat (here)

Here is my little poppet, and we are having a frolic in the National Gallery of Victoria Sculpture Garden.  One of my favourite Melbourne places to visit, it really is just so pretty. You can see last time I visited with Ashley HERE, featuring some of my favourite pics of him.

Ash is wearing one of Acorn Kids bucket hats with toggles.  I'm sure I am not on my own when I say I cannot keep a hat on my toddlers head, but with this fully adjustable style I can tighten the head, and chin strap.  Ash will certainly have a good go at trying to get it off and a fair bit of a whinge (refer pic above) but he does give up!  Hooray.
Mum 1 Ash 0

Size wise, Ash is 20 months and this hat is a size large (4 y/o- 8 y/o).  As you can see it's a bit big on him, but we'll certainly gets LOTS of use from this one for the next 7 years ;)

Najo Jewellery

Wedges- Nine West (old, great option here as seen on Princess Kate!)
Sunnies- RayBan (here)

You know when you put something on and you really just feel like it's you.  Well that is this outfit for me, everything about it feels very ME!  The jeans are a perfect fit and so comfy, the wedges give me height and extra leg length, this Bohemian Traders top is pretty, floaty and just the right amount of 'hippy' that I love, a silver cuff has always been my go to piece of jewellery for many many years now, and the earrings compliment it all beautifully.  I wore this exact same outfit both Saturday and Sunday last weekend, I love it so much, just swapping the wedges for my Birks for a trip to the zoo.

Have a close look at the sterling silver cuff I'm wearing, it is new in from Najo Jewellery and is absolutely beautiful and such amazing quality.  The silver has been woven to create this amazing basket weave effect, making it so unique and perfect to wear on its own- or stack it up with a mass of bangles.  The sterling silver earrings are also from Najo Jewellery, featuring this intricate cut out that matches this bohemian style top so perfectly.

On another note, soooooo need a haircut.  I'm so time poor these days as a mum, working full time, plus the bloggity, that a hair cut has kept moving to the bottom of the list, along with an eye check and trip to the dentist.  Oops! Anyone else with me on this?

#DanniForTarget

Shoes- Wittner (similar here)

Recently I had the utmost pleasure to join Target Australia for a photo shoot with the new Designers for Target range, Dannii Minogue Petites.  Designed with all petite body shapes in mind, the range reflects affordable, perfectly proportioned pieces that look stunning off the rack.  I am 5 foot 2 inches tall, the same height as Dannii, so this range couldn't be more perfect for me!  And having tried on most of the range in store yesterday I can confirm that everything fits like a dream!!

One important thing to note, as Danni says "Petite doesn't just mean small, it's all kinds of shapes and sizes.  That's why you'll find my range in sizes 4-19, because I think all women should be able to look and feel amazing".

This blazer is one of my absolute fabourite pieces of the Dannii Minogue Petites range. Tailored and so chic, with a leather look lapel.  These fabulous boyfriend jeans, slight distressed, actually come this length! No hemming required.

I have a couple more outfits to show you, but for a sneak peek check out my Instagram @michellesstylefile or hashtag #dannifortarget

Showstopper

Maternity Jeans- Mavi (similar here and here)
Heels- Tony Bianco (similar here and here)
Bangle- Sussan (similar)

Tomorrow is MY BIRTHDAY : ) Whoot whoot!!

I've never actually shared my age on my blog as I'm positively ancient in terms of the blogging world and hopefully you have all assumed I'm younger than I am.... but anyway here goes: 34 years old tomorrow (and 33 weeks pregnant)! Mid-thirties it is, and a great place to be :)

Now to my outfit! Who doesn't love a little bit of sequin action, especially in the day time! This voluminous tee from Aussie label Fillyboo is just so comfy and the fabric so soft too.  Fillyboo have such a gorgeous range of maternity wear known and loved for its laid back, bohemian look.

Paired today with my Mavi maternity jeans which I purchased pretty early on in my pregnancy.   I was a bit skeptical about buying jeans when I would be pregnant over Summer, but with Melbourne weather being what it is I have worn them so much! They sit under your belly and the fabric is such a light, stretchy denim there is no doubt I'll keep wearing these post pregnancy : )

Hair out and no sunnies for a bit of a change today!

Underwear of Sweden- Summer Essentials

Stella swimmable brief- thanks to Underwear of Sweden
Sass & Bide thongs- thanks to Havianas
Sunnies- Sportsgirl
Hat- Roxy

With Summer arriving in Melbourne it is time to hit the beach and just in time I have discovered the most fabulous product- Underwear of Sweden's SWIMMABLE underwear collection which feels like underwear but looks like swimwear!  The halter neck strap pictured above is detachable and there are normal bra straps to pop in their place that come in a handy little pouch.  The fabric is chlorine and saltwater resistant and designed to keep its shape when wet or dry.

In fact, after a long day at work and a gorgeous sunny day in Melbourne this week, this swimmable underwear took me straight from my office to the beach- so perfect!!  No doubt a Summer essential along with a big hat, sunnies and my new Sass & Bide Havianas.

I must add I was a little shy about sharing these photos, especially being 5 months pregnant! But my husband convinced me I wouln't offend anyone- hope you agree ; )
